Search Engine MarketingNow that you have joined one or more affiliate programs, and aquired the tracking link code you will need to imbed in your ads, it's time to start focusing on driving traffic to your affiliate sites. One of the most effective ways to do this is by placing sponsored search ads on search engines. By bidding to show your ads only for certain keywords, you can be certain your ads are shown to the most relevant audience. This process is simple and intuitive, and each of the search engines I've listed below provides step by step instructions for creating ads for your site to appear in their search results. You may also view a short excerpt from chapter 6 of Affiliate Millions on ad writing here that offers a little advice for creating ads on Google AdWords. I recomend running your ads on each of the top three search engines below, at a minimum. These three are all pay-for-performance models, and will reward you for writing effective ads with lower costs and higher volume. The other engines are all pay-for-placement models, which will be useful for some websites, but less so for others. Experiment with these search angines as well, but be conservative to start.
