March Newsletter (yes I know, I am posting this very late)
April 3, 2010 on 7:46 pm | In Questions and Comments | 2 CommentsHi Everybody,
Once again, it’s been quite some time since my last newsletter, but I don’t like sending one out unless I have something to say and lately – as so many affiliate marketing programs have been disallowing direct search – I really haven’t had too much to say.
But today is different. Today I am launching a new website which will hopefully prove that there is still a lot of money to be made in the affiliate marketing world, and you don’t have to be a trained web-design professional to make it happen. I’ve built this site entirely by myself, and on the cheap. Better than that even, is that if you really don’t want to be bothered to build a site of your own, you are welcome to make money off of my new site, with no investment at all, and hopefully even have fun doing it (especially if you are – or would like to be – a writer and/or news-junkie like myself).
A few months ago I took a second look at all the domain names I have bought over the years, and identified a few that I decided had a great deal of potential, if only I would stop being so lazy and apply a little elbow grease. The one I chose to start with is www.ThirdReport.com and I have totally redesigned the site with a focus on two things;
Citizen Journalism – Relying on (and paying) average citizens the world over to write their own news and opinions, and also to refer the most interesting news and opinions from other sites.
Local News Worldwide – Adding local news tailored to the individual’s location to all the other news available on the site.
If you are a writer yourself, become a Third Man and I’ll share 50% of the advertising revenue generated by your exclusively written news and opinions.
If you happen to be a news junkie, you can even make money on the site simply by becoming a Third Man and submitting links to all the most interesting news you see, and I’ll share 1% per headline of the advertising revenue generated by the ad block your headlines run in.
The only expenditures I made were signing up with a web-hosting company that had free database functionality (I used GoDaddy’s New – Unlimited Hosting) and I had to purchase a copy of Adobe Dreamweaver which you can get really cheap if you are a student, or if you have a student or teacher – grade school through college – in your household) to design the site with. I never took a web design class in my life and was able to build the site on a learn-as-you-go basis (though I’ll admit, I had to Google the answers to hundreds of questions).
Anyway, check out the site. I’ll be reporting back on its success. And hopefully you’ll be inspired to start designing a site of your own or – even better (for me) – maybe you’ll just prefer to start writing and referring news for the Third Report.
Good Luck, Affiliate Millionaires in training!
