  1. Dave,

For the most part, I have always thought the basic free tools provided by most search networks and affiliate networks are all you really need (and all I ever used for the first couple of my most successful years). I have recommended only ONE premium tool that I have come across in all these years. Not because you need it to make money, but because it can help you make even more.

KeyCompete.com provides detailed information on the most popular and lucrative keywords and phrases for individuals sites. Sometimes – for some sites – this information is not very surprising. So books-a-million.com gets a lot of traffic from the keywords ‘books’ and ‘harry potter’… I could have figured that out myself, right? But other times, common mispellings, or products you hadn’t heard about can be foujnd on these lists and provide a big boost to a campaign.

Anyway, its relatively inexpensive to try, and there is a lot of potential upside.

    Good luck,

    Tony

  2. This is for anyone.

    I’m a newbie here.

It looks like many of us now have to build landing pages for our ads. Some of these pages could be around for a long time. Especially if you’re promoting long terms ideas, like digital cameras, travel, education…etc. As opposed to short term items like halloween costumes or valentine’s day chocolates. If that’s the case, does anyone have the short on seo. I’v just started looking at it. Lots of info out there, and lots of gurus. Some say it’s a long process, 6 months to a year and others say it can happen alost over night.

Any affiliate marketers here with some long term experience? Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers to all and happy marketing.
