Program Rejections on CJ

February 12, 2008 on 5:07 am | In Questions and Comments | 3 Comments

I applied to a program on CJ and waited several days for a response. Finally, my application went from the pending list to the declined list. No explanation, no email, no nuthin’. Being the stubborn type, I’ve re-applied. Should i get rejected again, is there any way that I can find out WHY my application was rejected? I’m currently using direct marketing off Google so perhaps they want me to have a website? But they don’t say that in their program description. I also don’t see a contact listed in the program description.

Any ideas?

  1. If there isn’t a program manager contact listed, you probably wll never know for sure, as that would be the person to ask.

It is likely that when they saw Google listed as your site, they decided to deny (even if they haven’t restricted you from direct search, sometimes they still want to see a website). You can get around this by simply having a website, too, and I’ve tried to make it easy. Just download one of my free website templates from http://www.AffiliateMillions.com and follow the included instructions. Its easy, and you should get fewer rejections once you have a site of your own listed on CJ (keep your Google Direct Search site open too, though).

    Good Luck,

    Tony

  2. Tony, thanks. Since I wrote the original post, I finally gave in to what I expected to be an inevitable result and I started my own web site, which I added to CJ along with my direct marketing entry.

While your templates are great, I was curious about a free hosting/web development service called Webnode (www.webnode.com). I built the site there and used rssfeedreader.com to get my news feeds. One problem I have encountered is that webnode does not support PHP so I am left having to use java script feeds which don’t show up in search engine scans. So from an SEO perspective, I’m a mess.

Since I am still going to rely mostly on direct search marketing, hopefully the inadequacies of my web site won’t set me back too much.

    Thanks again!
