AdWords and Page Rank

Hey Tony,

OK, I was reading your post about Google putting higher priority on ads that point to a High Page Rank, here is my question:

1. What do you recommend for someone who wants a PPC campaign on Google, using AdWords, for a website they own which is brand new with very low Page Rank? Can you give some pointers on this question please…

  1. Loopster,

If your ads for this new site are running in a competitve space, you are at a serious disadvantage. The solution to this is not quick, but it is prettty easy. You need to optimize your webpage for search engines.  A great book about promoting your own website that I read in preparation for launching the Affiliate Millions website is Insider Seo & Ppc: Get Your Website to the Top of the Search Engines, available now on Amazon. You’ll get clear, simple steps on what to do – and what not to do – to help improve your page rank, as well as instructions on how to submit your pages to the search engines for inclusion in natural search results. Once you make the page improvements – many of which can be accomplished very quickly – you’ll submit your page and wait for up to 6 months for Google to check and rank your site.

Thats right…. I said up to six months. It’ll may happen a little quicker, but in any event, it will take some time.

The good news is, a properly executed SEO effort should get you a lot of free traffic, in addition to giving you a paid search ad. I wish I could tell you your work will pay off quicker, but it is what it is.

    Tony
