Average clicks per month

Hi,

AFter how many clicks can one expect to see one turn into a conversion?  Do you have approximations?  I sent 100 clicks in one week to the advertiser’s website but still have no conversions.  Is it too early to tell?  The company does not have any EPC’s data, they are new.   How much time should I give this campaign before I turn it off?  I have not lost much money yet.  I have lost one third of what I invested.

Sincerely,

J.

  1. J,

There is no way to know for sure how many clicks it will take to generate a conversion, and the quality of your own ad and keyword list is a major factor. You can look at the reported EPC (Earnings per Hunded clicks) and if it says $5 and the CPA is $10, then you can at least know that on average it takes 200 clicks to get one conversion, but this is for web site traffic and paid search, and paid search alone may be quite different, even without factoring in the higher or lower quality of your specific campaign.

When starting out, I recommend joining lower CPA programs because they tend to convert quicker, and as a consequence you can see if you are making or losing money before spending to much. Those $120 CPA can take hundreds, even thousands, of clicks to generate a conversion, and you have to wait (and spend) quite a lot before you can tell if you are making money or losing it.

    Hope this helps a little.

    Tony
