Display URL

Hello

I purchased your book and have read through it twice now.  I am definately inspired and motivated to try my luck at this type of business. When i tried to register with google adwords it tells me I must have a web site to enroll.  Is this the only way to get myself signed up now?  I’ve also registered with both amazon and CJ.  Now as I am going through the keyword links on CJ I am noticing that every company I look into will not let me use their web url as my display url.  I’m not entirely sure what to use otherwise as my display URL since I do not have a web site of my own.  Does this mean that the cj advertisers will not allow direct search marketing unless I have a site of my own?  I’m totally stuck now.  There are a few advertisers I would like to get started with but am not sure how to get around this.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Sorry to keep you waiting. I took a cruise, expecting to have internet access, and didn’t. Just catching up now.

Although there are a number of companies that now require you to have a website of your own, there are still many more that do not. Keep looking, it shouldn’t take long. Also, don’t confuse trademark rules that prohibit biddng on a companies name, with a prohibition on using there URL in an ad. If you eve have a question on an individual affiliate program on any of the networks I recommend, just shoot me an email at affiliatesupport@affiliatemillions.com and I’ll check it out for you.

As for Google AdWords, they require that you set up your first ad when you sign up, but this ad does not need to be a wesite of your own.
