Impressions
October 8, 2007 on 3:56 pm | In Questions and Comments | 3 CommentsI read about some needing more impressions. I have had almost 10,000 in about 4 days. My ctr is about .5 with 50 clicks. Should I be concerned or just be patient.

Mark,
It depends. What position is your ad showing in? Is your position, cost and CTR rising or falling?
If you are bidding conservatively (which I recomend) your ad might get off to a slow start, but if it is well-written, it should steadily improve in terms of cost, position and volume. If you don’t see improvements, re-write the ad(s). If the ad seems to be improving, even if very slowly, then give it time.

Hi Tony,
Great book! I’m very interested in this business.
I have a question regarding signing up to affiliate
networks and programs. You state in the book that
having a web-site would be ideal. I was wondering
would it be better for me to develop an affiliates
web-site or one on something else I’m more familiar
with considering I have not had experience in this
business yet.

Lin,
In the book, my main reason for suggesting reader’s consider a web-site was to facilitate the affiliate network application process, which is not always search marketing friendly (even when search marketing is allowed), but since that time there is an additional reason to consider a web-site. Some affiliate programs have been moving away from direct search, and require a web-site if you want to participate in their program. I don’t know if this is a trend that will continue, or eventually reverse itself, but it would be wise I think to experiment, at least, with some landing pages.
A for what you should use as a topic, there are lots of ways to skin that cat, and You are probably best off sticking to something you know, or using a pre-made web site, like the education website I have available for free download on http://www.AffiliateMillions.com/web-design.html
