Wealthy Affiliate

Hey everyone,

I ran this by Tony and he gave me the go ahead to make a post about a great resource I came across.

When I started affiliate marketing a few months back the first book I read was “Affiliate Millions.”  As you all know, it is an outstanding book and the information within got me off to a great start.  I still refer to it when I get stuck or when I lose focus.  I am also continually researching the internet for more info to help me be as successfull as possible.  If you have been doing the same, you know that a lot of the information is rehashed over and over again and doesn’t come close to the resource that Tony’s book is.  I did, however, come across a great website called “Wealthy Affiliate.”

After a bit of research, I joined Wealthy Affiliate and I’m glad I did!  It is exactly what I had been looking for to help me take that next step.  When you join the website, you are given all of the tools you need to be successful.  They have guides, tutorials, case studies, online courses, support, coaching, and they now even provide free webhosting to members.  When you first join, they encourage you to go through their 8 Week learning course.  Every week they lay out tasks and learning objectives that will lead you to success…if you put the work in!  I have found that by far the best thing about it is the support you get from the other members in the forums.  It amazes me how much time some of them put into the forums to help out aspiring affiliates.  You can even get help and support from the two owners, Kyle and Carson.

I could go on and on about how good it is, but the best way to know is to take a look for yourself.  So you know, it is $29.99/mo to join, but I really believe you’ll find it a good investment if you’re serious about this business.  If you decide early on that it’s not what you thought, they are great about refunding and you can cancel at any time.

So if you’re interested, here’s the link:   www.wealthyaffiliate.com

I hope this helps everyone out!

Thanks,

Adam

  1. Hi Adam,

Thanks for sharing your find! If Tony ok’s it, I’m sure it’s a superb resource!

I had a look and watched the sales promo video. Wow…does it cover a lot of stuff. I have a few questions I’m hoping you can take a moment to answer. Can you tell us if you have any affiliation with Wealthy Affiliate? I just want to know if there is any bias in your quick review. While Tony’s book (and here on his website) touches on building websites and landing pages, the main thrust is linking directly to the advertiser’s website removing the need for a landing page. Can you comment on the main thrust of the Wealthy Affiliate? How long have you been a member of Wealthy Affiliate and how has your success been? Finally, the link you provided is missing the ‘y’ so it’s pointing to the wrong website.

Thanks again for passing this information along! Community support is always what makes a difference.

    Best Regards,
    Mike

  2. The link is hosed. Both sites are interesting, however, so thanks for posting them.

  3. I fixed Adam’s link. Thanks for the heads up guys.

I have no affiliation wth Wealthy Affiliate… yet, but in the interest of full disclosure – and in answer to Mike’s question – Adam does belong to their affiliate program, and can earn money from the link in his post. I don’t usually allow affiliate links that are not my own on the site, but Adam asked nicely first, the site really is great, and I didn’t want to steal his idea and just put my own link up, or ignore the site completely to the detriment of my readers.

I don’t want a deluge of these types of requests, however, so I have to say that in the future I will not be allowing these sorts of affiliate link posts.

    Thanks,

    Tony

  4. Hey Mike,

As Tony already answered, I am an affiliate for Wealthy Affiliate…you automatically become one when you join. My review was not biased at all. There are some other quality products out their that I could promote, but wouldn’t even think about trying to promoting them on Tony’s website. The only reason I decided to ask Tony if I could make the post is because I truly believe that it is a great resource that “Affiliate Millions” readers could benefit from.

In regards to your question about the main thrust of Wealthy Affiliate, I would say that the ultimate goal is similar to Tony’s book and that is to become a direct link PPC affiliate marketer. There is a lot of information on how to make money without spending money through methods such as article marketing. These methods are typically suggested to those who have a limited budget and can use this method to make the transition to PPC easier. A lot of the members have had great success with article marketing and one member even wrote an ebook called “Bum Marketing.” (www.bummarketingmethod.com …it’s free) which is a pretty good read.

There is information about other ways to make money through affiliate marketing as well, but it all leads to becoming successful at PPC. They do put some emphasis on landing pages, but it’s really information on how to build good, relevant landing pages that will give you good conversions (if you choose to build a landing page).

The point that they slam home most is finding profitable niche markets and developing relevant (keyword there – RELEVANT) keywords, ad copy, and content (if building a landing page). They show you step by step how to do it and give you great tools for research. Also, the website does a great job keeping you focused and on task…I don’t know about everybody else, but I often find my head spinning and don’t know what to do next.

And, as I mentioned in my original post, the forums are probably the best part of being a member. I can almost say that the forums are worth the money by themselves.

Ok, sorry if I went on a tangent there, but I hope I answered your questions. The website has, by far, the best information outside “Affiliate Millions.” The owners are sincere about their members becoming successful and they show it by improving the website often. Even if you were to join for 1 month, I think you would take something valuable away.

Let me know if you have any other questions…I’m happy to answer!

    Thanks and good luck!
    Adam

  5. All,

Well I have had problems with this site. I signed up on the 18th, paid via Credit card and was told I would be issued login information in 5 to 10 minutes. After waiting a couple of days, I have followed up w/ them asking for the login info twice through their contact us tab on the sales site only to be ignored.

Fed up, I just disputed transaction w/ paypal who does their CC processing, and disputed the charge w/ my credit card company, received credit back, and wealthyaffiliates got a nice charge back.

Even if they are real, with that poor level of costumer service, I would think twice about them if I were you.
