Errors in Google with Amazon Link
July 13, 2007 on 5:48 pm | In Questions and Comments | 3 CommentsHi Tony:
Does this look familiar? “These characters are not allowed: [space]”
I get this error when I try using a built link from Amazon in the destination URL.
I’m not sure why I can’t just copy and paste the URL that Amazon provides me….any ideas to address this?
Thanks!

Andrew,
Can you send me the actual destination link you are trying to use?

Sorry for replying so late, Tony. I managed to contact Amazon and they provided a solution. I also found a website that helps me build links called, “Free Affiliate Tools” at http://www.freeaffiliatetools.com/amazon-link-tool.html.
I’m not having much success in converting clicks to sales with Amazon so far. I would prefer to concentrate my affiliate ads on sign-ups and registrations instead of “buy-this-now” product offers.
I’m hoping that in your forum there are some ideas on where I can find affiliate programs that offer sign-up conversion opportunities.
Thanks,
- Andrew

Andrew,
I’ll try to find some for next month’s newsletter.
