Landing pages and conversion rates

Would you say that using a LP of your own (simple one pager with some graphics specific to the offer) could improve or decline conversion?

  1. I haven’t been more than moderately successful with a landing page, but I do know some people are making 10k, 20k and even 30k a month with LPs.

    As for conversion rates, you are going to convert fewer individuals, because of the extra step, but some individuals will give you multiple conversions and your success or failure will hinge on your ability to get enough multiple conversions to make up the difference.

    I have heard that dating site offers work well when seeking multiple conversions, but I haven’t tried it. Online Degree Information offers also do well in terms of multiple conversions, and this I have tried, with moderate success.
